Monitored Natural Recovery at Contaminated Sediment Sites
A technical document to provide the principles and assessment criteria for comprehensive evaluation of Monitored Natural Recovery (MNR) as a remedial option at contaminated sediment sites. The guidance provides a formalize framework for proper design and implementation of MNR and provides for predicting long-term MNR performance and potential human health and ecological risk reductions. It helps remedial project managers and site owners in providing improved tools for more cost-effective sediment characterization and remediation.
