DoD spends nearly $3.5 billion annually to power, heat, and cool approximately 300,000 buildings hosted on installations around the globe. This technical session looked at the opportunities across the installation to offer cost-effective solutions to reduce carbon emissions. Presentations from ongoing ESTCP demonstrations focused on innovative improvements to HVAC systems and a new project evaluating the potential to electrify mission support equipment. Speakers also discussed geothermal systems and examples of campus-wide electrification strategies.
